What a fantastic healthy week we have had in Year 1 and Year 2! Children were introduced to 'TastEd' where they were encouraged to explore a variety of foods using their sense of smell, touch, sound, sight and taste. Thank you so much for all the donations throughout the week. Children were incredibly brave at trying a range of foods.

Year 2 have explored which crisps are the most oily and made healthy platters and hummus, Year 1 and Kingfisher have made healthy smoothies. Years 1, 2 and Kingfisher enjoyed an interactive workshop about healthy choices on Monday thanks to A Life. We enjoyed Mrs Curtis’ famous hand washing assembly, remembering that washing the germs and bugs off our hands keeps us healthy too. Children also took part in the daily mile over the week as well as aerobics at lunchtimes. Well done to everyone who handed in healthy passports. The results are being collated and the winning class will be announced in an assembly very soon! All in all, a really successful and very important week!
