Attendance

Attendance Matters

We know that being in school every day helps children learn, grow, and feel part of our school family. Good attendance gives your child the best chance to enjoy their learning, build friendships, and develop routines that help them succeed now and in the future. That’s why we set high expectations for attendance—we want every child to have the best possible start to their education. We’re here to support you in making sure your child gets the most out of their time with us.

Attendance Policy

Punctuality

Punctuality is important from the start because it helps children develop good habits, shows respect for others' time, and ensures they don’t miss the first lesson, usually Phonics . Being on time supports your child to feel more settled and calm at the beginning of the day and contributes to a positive classroom environment – late arrivals disrupt the first lesson for other children.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are required to arrive to start school at 8.55am. Doors open at 8.50am and we expect children to arrive from this time.

Children arriving after 8.55am will be marked as late and parents will be asked to sign in via Inventory and give a reason for lateness.

Nursery arrival is either 8.45-8.50am or 12.45-12.50pm. If you arrive after this time the Nursery doors will be closed and Office staff will be required to escort your child via an alternative entrance.
