Science

All children are encouraged to understand how science can be used, to explain the changes on earth, predict how things will behave, and analyze causes. Through engaging and inspiring lessons children are taught essential aspects of the knowledge, processes, and uses of science.

Our aim is to enable children to be bold in their questioning, inspiring curiosity and enabling them to have the confidence to ask why and how.

The children are always given the platform on which to test their predictions.

Through our science curriculum, children learn to ask scientific questions and develop their investigative and problem-solving skills.  They also begin to appreciate the way science will affect their future on a personal, national and global level.

Through building up a body of key foundational knowledge and concepts, children are encouraged to recognize the power of rational explanation and develop a sense of excitement and curiosity about natural phenomena.

All children are given a platform on which to observe and record changes during experiments and are encouraged to work as part of a group and independently.
